Terms of use

Updated October 2, 2026

Veyen helps you book appointments with independent shops, and helps shops take those bookings. The shop provides the service; we provide the booking tools. These terms cover both sides.

Who's who

"Veyen", "we" and "us" means Veyen. A "shop" is the business or professional you book with. A "client" is the person booking. Shops set their own services, prices, hours, deposits and policies, and they are responsible for the services they provide.

Booking as a client

You don't need an account. When you pick a time we hold it for 10 minutes while you finish. Your booking is confirmed when you see the confirmation page and get a confirmation text.

Give a real name and a mobile number you can receive texts on. The shop uses them to know who's coming and to reach you about your appointment.

Your booking link works like a key: anyone with it can see and cancel that booking. Don't share it.

Deposits, fees and payments

Some shops ask for a deposit or a saved card to hold your time. The deposit comes off your total. Each shop's cancellation and no-show policy is shown before you pay, and the version you agree to is the one that applies to that booking, even if the shop changes it later.

If the shop cancels, any deposit is refunded. If you cancel inside the shop's cancellation window, or don't show up, the shop may keep the deposit and charge a fee to your saved card, exactly as its policy says, and never more.

Card payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. Refunds go back to the original card and can take 5–10 business days to show up.

Tips go to the shop. Payments you make in cash at the shop are between you and the shop; the shop may record them in Veyen to keep its books straight.

Using Veyen as a shop

You're responsible for your account, for keeping your services, prices, hours and policies accurate, and for honoring the bookings you accept. Only charge fees your published policy allows, and only for bookings made under that policy.

Keep client information confidential and use it only to serve your clients. Private notes are visible only to your shop, but you're responsible for what you write in them. Don't record health details beyond what you need to do the work safely.

Only text clients through Veyen in line with our SMS terms. Rebook reminders go only to clients who opted in.

Subscription plans, if you choose one, are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled any time; you keep access until the end of the paid period, then your shop moves to the free plan with its bookings and client records intact.

What's not allowed

Don't use Veyen to break the law, to harass anyone, to make fake bookings, to scrape the site, to interfere with how it works, or to impersonate someone else. We can suspend accounts or remove pages that do.

Reviews and content

Reviews must come from real appointments and be honest. Shops own the photos and text they upload and give us permission to show them on their Veyen page and in search results on Veyen.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Veyen running and accurate, but it's provided as is. We're not responsible for the services a shop provides, or for losses caused by a shop or client. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing).

Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell shops by email. Questions: hello@veyen.org.
