We collect what's needed to book and run appointments, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for ads. Here's exactly what we keep and why.
What we collect from clients
When you book: your name, mobile number, the service, time and shop. If a deposit or card is needed, our payment provider handles your card; we keep only the card brand, last four digits and expiry so the shop can see which card is on file.
Texts: the confirmation and reminder texts we send you, any replies you send, and whether you've opted in to rebook reminders or texted STOP.
On your device: a cookie that remembers which area you picked, and a list of your bookings saved in your browser's local storage so you can find them again under My bookings. Neither is used for tracking or ads.
What we collect from shops
Your email and a hashed password (we can't read it), your shop's details, team, services, hours, photos and policies, and a session cookie that keeps you logged in.
What the shop sees
The shop you book with sees your name, number, booking history with them, payments, and any private notes they write about you (for example, how you like your cut). Notes are visible only to that shop and are never shown on public pages or sent to you. Other shops can't see your bookings with a different shop.
Who else gets your data
Only the companies that help us run Veyen, and only what they need: our hosting and database providers, our payment provider (for card payments) and our SMS provider (to deliver texts). We don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
We'll disclose information if the law requires it, and we'll push back on requests that aren't valid.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept as long as the shop's account is active and as long as tax and accounting rules require. Message logs are kept for 2 years so opt-outs are honored. If a shop closes its account, we delete its clients' data within 90 days, except records we must keep by law.
Your choices
Text STOP to stop all texts from Veyen. To see, correct or delete your information, email hello@veyen.org from or about the number you booked with; we'll verify it's you and respond within 30 days. You can also ask the shop directly.
Veyen isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Parents booking for a child should use their own name and number.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Each shop's data is separated at the database level, so one shop can never read another's clients. Card numbers never touch our servers. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we'll tell you promptly.
